Pune Manufacturing Plant Expansion: Fueling the Next Stage of Growth
LMT Tools Groups’ investment in India, a major expansion of its Pune manufacturing site, shows that the company is committed to transferring technology and produce more in India.
With this expansion LMT Tools India is equipped with enhanced production capacities of gear cutting tools as well as solid carbide round tools. Also newly established state-of-the-art coating facility will help for faster turnaround. Dedicated reconditioning center with in-house surface treatments is becoming instrumental for serving the end customers. Establishment of a dedicated R&D focuses on the needs of the Indian as well as global markets.

Acquisition that strengthens gear cutting technology
LMT Tools has acquired the expertise and know-how of PWS, a 75-year-old German company. With this LMT Tools has further strengthened product lines of Gear Skiving & shaping tools. As part of the integration, a new technology center has been created in Schmölln, Germany.
Mr. Reddy further added that “With this strategic acquisition our product portfolio has expanded and opened up additional fields of application.” “Now gear skiving tools with modules from 0.5 to 8.0 and diameters from 15 to 270 mm and gear shaping tools with modules from 0.7 to 12 and diameters from 12 to 315 mm will be part of our standard product offering.”
