Mercedes to Invest Rs 3,000 Crore in Maharashtra
Mercedes-Benz, the renowned German car manufacturer, is set to make a substantial investment of Rs 3,000 crore in Maharashtra. This announcement was made by Uday Samant, the State Industries Minister, who revealed that during his recent visit to Germany, he engaged with top executives from Mercedes-Benz to discuss investment opportunities. The investment is expected to significantly enhance the automotive industry landscape in Maharashtra this year.
JLR Increases Five-Year Investment Plan by £3 Billion
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), the British subsidiary of Tata Motors, has augmented its five-year investment plan by £3 billion, marking a 20 percent increase. This adjustment brings the total planned investment to £18 billion (approximately Rs 1.91 lakh crore) for the fiscal years 2024 to 2028. JLR, known for models like the Jaguar F-Pace and Land Rover Discovery, is set to expand its investment in innovation and production.
